So tranquil, utterly idyllic and relaxing. The cabin was so cosy, the hosts were so attentive and helpful. The walk to Whitby is a really good distance along a track with stunning views. The local pub (Windmill Inn) really welcoming and great food. Everything was perfect and I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to switch off and de-stress.
The location is brilliant, nestled in a woodland valley with the sound of the river front gurgling away and owls by night. You definitely feel like you are in your own space here. I even had my own river bench for morning cuppas. The cabin was very cosy, decorated warmly and catering to your needs. I travelled there alone and did lots of long walks nearby. The proximity to the cinder trail means you can go in many directions including walking into Whtiby for dinner or shopping. So, I didn’t need to get back in the car for the whole trip. I should say I am the outdoors type who will gladly walk for a couple hours to a beach to not have to drive! I stayed for 3 nights but still had places to explore left around, especially as I spent an afternoon sheltering from the storm with a hot bath and log burner, when it was a bit wet to be out. But that was ideal as it is such a lovely location to relax. I was warmly welcomed and the set up is great with a lot of flexibility for extra bits and pieces. I love that they offer veg boxes when they have excess and would do some some veggie meals if needed. I didn’t go for a yoga retreat with the parallel business Yoga and Spice but because Lorraine saw my mat she kindly offered me to use her studio if I wanted. It’s that kind of place!
A wonderful stay was had by us all at Whitby Log Cabins… surrounded by natural beauty & wildlife in a tranquil setting but only a few miles from the heart of Whitby itself… The cabins are well equipped, warm & comfortable and Lorraine & Mark are super hosts. A truly magical place & I highly recommend a visit.
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Valley View cabin during this new year and it was an amazing experience. I can say it is the best place to relax as well as also adventure and explore the woods around us. Thank you also, to the hosts Lorraine and Mark for treating us so well. We will certainly repeat this experience.

An absolutely beautiful escape and right in the middle of the majestic woodland. Lorraine and Mark are incredible hosts who go above and beyond for their guests. The cabin was incredible and surrounded by wildlife. We will definitely be visiting again! Many thanks from Emma and Sam xxxx
This was our getaway from lockdown, both I, my Wife ,partner and Grandson stayed for 3 nights, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, weather was kind to us,couple of day trips out ,close to shops etc,Cabins are of a very high standard, Host was very accommodating, Will no doubt go again
We stayed in Valley View cabin before the last lockdown and it was an amazing place to go to recharge. The cabins are in the middle of woodland and so every day we woke up to the sounds of birds - one morning we even saw a Sparrowhawk having its breakfast from our window. I would sit and drink my coffee on the deck whilst watching the stream go past below. The cabin was warm and cosy, but when we wanted to go exploring there were plenty of beautiful walks right on the doorstep. Lorraine and Mark were wonderful hosts, they did everything to make sure we were comfortable, and shared with us their knowledge of food, yoga and local attractions. We also especially loved meeting all of their animals and eating their chicken's fresh eggs. We will definitely be returning as soon as we can.
This place is absolute perfection! As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed and rested. We were surrounded by trees, we could hear birds singing and the sound of the stream. We used the fire pit every evening and had lovely walks down the Cinder track into Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. We didn’t use the car once. The log cabin is of a high standard and quality and the owners are friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.
