Valley View log cabin and our woodland rooms nestle in private woodland. At the end of a no through road, in the North York Moors National Park, the site has with breathtaking views and a feeling of total tranquility.
Our secluded cabins are spread across four acres and laid out so each unit has privacy and its own outside space. All our cabins are designed for two people, whether a couple or friends travelling together.
Our signature cabin, Valley View has a large open plan kitchen dining and sitting area and a luxury bathroom. It has central heating and a feature log burner so guests can enjoy winter evenings indoors and summer on the generous terrace. Valley View occupies a prime position on the site, a stone’s throw from the gurgling stream and waterfall.
Our woodland rooms offer a lower budget ‘Glamping plus’ experience. Individually designed, they offer all the fun of log cabin living with a small ‘Salamander hobbit’ log burner which can also heat food and a little woodland terrace. But for extra comfort we have added, ensuite shower rooms, central heating, a worktop and fridge and there are two gas rings on the porch so guests can cook a full meal.
Valley View cabin is a wildlife haven with gurgling stream and waterfall. There are resident owls, deer and badgers as well as our domestic menagerie including ducks, chickens and the ponies, Charlie and Millie. Our birdlife is abundant and for this reason we are not usually dog friendly. We will occasionally accommodate a well behaved dog on the understanding that it is kept on the lead at all times.
The walking in the area is extensive and varied. We are only two miles from the quaint and bustling seaside town of Whitby, which can be reached on foot along the cinder track, or a 30 minute walk to Fylingdales Moor, and not much further to the iconic village of Robin Hoods Bay. There is always something to do in Whitby, North Yorkshire and the surrounding villages.
While you can enjoy total peace and tranquility on our site, you can also walk through the woods to a good local pub which serves food 7 nights a week.
Mark and I moved to Valley View in March 2019 and have been welcoming guests to our log cabins in this very special place from day one. It is a lifestyle business for us and we love living seasonally and close to nature. And we really enjoy sharing this remarkable space with you.
Whenever possible we meet our visitors and show them to their cabin. And we provide a tea and coffee and a breakfast/ welcome pack and a comprehensive information folder.
After that we are on hand if you need us but leave you to enjoy the seclusion of the site.
We hope you choose to visit us at Valley View. We know there is something special about these woods, because our visitors always want to come back!
Looking forward to meeting you.
